Benefits of Airbag Suspension

Passenger Comfort / Driver Fatigue

Air Bag Suspensions improve passenger comfort under all road conditions.

By eliminating sway and body roll the vehicle will give passengers improved comfort.

This also applies to drivers and helps eliminate driver fatigue as the driver has a vehicle with:

  • Improved handling
  • Better steering
  • Greater braking ability

It particularly applies to:

  • 4WD's towing caravans and trailers
  • Motor Homes
  • 4WD's with roof racks and loaded for outback travel
  • Tour operators with small buses or 4WD's

Coil Sprung 4WD's

We believe most coil sprung 4WD's should have air bags installed in their rear coil springs.

This enables:

  • Ability to carry loads (particularly on trips including outback expeditions)
  • Improved handling and steering
  • Better braking ability
  • Greater driver and passenger comfort

It is also important for towing caravans, camper trailers, etc.

The increased load on the vehicle can be simply compensated by using higher air pressures.

Safer Driving

Air Bellows on leaf sprung vehicles (both 2WD and 4WD) make the vehicle safer by:

  • Keeping the front wheels in greater contact with the road for better steering and braking
  • Stopping the rear from bumping out (on bumps)
  • The rear will handle flatter due to the seperate air line to each bellow (bag)

These aspects are particularly important when:

  • Towing caravans/trailers etc.
  • On wet bitumen roads or when on greasy unsealed roads such as clay based gravel

Motor Homes / 5th Wheelers

Air Bellows are a very useful and necessary item on most Motor Homes.

With constant load being carried, coupled wiht high roof levels, the vehicles don't nave sufficient wheel travel to absorb bumps and give decent road holding.

Air Bellow will:

  • Elimate sway
  • Give increased clearance
  • Aid driver and passenger comfort
  • Improve tyre wear
  • Increase braking ability in emergency conditions

Tradesman Use

Air Bags/Bellows are ideal for tradesmen including:

  • Plumbers
  • Builders
  • Electricians
  • Landscapers
  • Pest Control Companies
  • Brick Layers
  • Painters

For both:

  • Ute/tabletops (both 4WD and 2WD)
  • Vans of all types

It also applies to service vehicles (Ute's with toolboxes and spare parts onboard) such as used by:

  • Air conditioning companies
  • Transport operators
  • Many other businesses
